8. AJ Styles Punches Vince McMahon

You'd think, at his age, that Vince McMahon allowing himself to be knocked clean out on television would mean something.

He forgot, obviously.

During the 2018 holiday season, AJ Styles was locked in a programme opposite Planet's Champion Daniel Bryan, to whom he had dropped the WWE Championship he had also failed to regain at TLC in what, incidentally, might be the most underrated match in an era of quality over-saturation. This seemed to displease McMahon, who expressed these thoughts in a backstage angle on SmackDown.

He asked who AJ was, and said he wanted to see the "real" AJ Styles and more specifically the "black hole inside of him".

Vince said he wanted to see it, and hell, he was going to see it, before slapping AJ right across the face. In retaliation - or perhaps because the mere mention of a black hole rankled with his beliefs of a flat earth - AJ fired back by cracking McMahon really hard across the face and roaring.

Nothing came of it. AJ failed to win the title back again and did an OK programme with Randy Orton.
