As mentioned, pyrotechnics take up a sizable amount of the production budget, and not every wrestler gets to have them as part of their entrances. However, being The Big Red Monster and The Devil's Favorite Demon, fire played a crucial part in Kane's character, and it's a no-brainer that WWE spared no expense when it came to his entrance.

Apart from the first explosion that goes off at the start of his music, Kane gets another fire display when he performs his signature taunt before and after his matches. However, Kane has been a part of several hilarious moments in which his signature pyro failed to go off.

Remember when Kane and Big Show formed a formidable tag team in 2005 and held the World Tag Team Championship for 153 days? They defended the title against Snitsky and Tyson Tomko on the 28 November 2005, episode of Raw, and when Kane made his entrance and proceeded to do his signature taunt, the pyro failed to go off.

Kane stood there with a confused look and almost popped a smile as The Big Show hilariously walked over to the other side to prevent the cameras from catching him smiling. However, there is a theory that Kane did this on purpose to goof around as the entrance took place during the commercial break, and there were no fire canisters on the ring post.
