Cody Rhodes is one of the founding fathers of AEW and was booked accordingly throughout his tenure with the company. They even used almost their entire pyro budget on Cody and Brandi Rhodes' baby's gender reveal segment.

When Rhodes decided to return to WWE in 2022, he had the same presentation, including the entrance and pyro, when he first appeared at WrestleMania 38 to defeat Seth Rollins. Following his triumphant return, Cody Rhodes made his first appearance on Raw, and WWE even had a big ramp for his signature Codyvator entrance.

The first botch happened when the elevator got stuck mid-way, and after that, Rhodes walked down the stage, and his pyro didn't go off. Keep in mind that the "Woah" hadn't become a thing yet, and Rhodes would just raise his arms as the pyro would go off in the background.

Rhodes had to turn back to see what had gone wrong and had a confused look on his face, but as he continued to walk towards the ring, the pyro went off in the background, leaving Rhodes cringing at the end of the entrance ramp. However, WWE made it up for Rhodes the following week when they hilariousy used all the fireworks they had on his entrance.
