The 2018 Superstar Shake-up broke from tradition in leaving most fans shocked at the way Monday Night Raw was seemingly raided for the good of SmackDown Live!

Hindsight has highlighted that it was probably more to do with whom Vince McMahon likes to watch on his weekly flagship. Outside of Finn Bálor, all the other lads and lasses the Chairman probably deemed 'not over enough' to eventually have a run at Brock Lesnar or Nia Jax trotted off to Tuesday whilst Raw grasped big men with big hands - on a show that had already fostered Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and recent returnee Bobby Lashley.

The prodigal Maharaja returned fresh from his catastrophic WWE Title reign, Baron Corbin kicked off another bully heel tenure destined to fail and Drew McIntyre linked arms with Dolph Ziggler in the most laughable comparison to a 'Diesel and Shawn' unit since Tyson Kidd and his dog turd fringe briefly liaised with problematic kickpuncher Jackson Andrews. By intention, by all accounts, too. 'The Show Off' is now apparently literally beyond parody.

Fresh from an underwhelming-yet-overdue WrestleMania debut, The Usos desperately needed a change of scenery they didn't receive. Raw instead stocked up diddy duos destined to job to The Authors Of Pain as the show's monster unit such...as...The...Ascension.
