10 Toughest Bastards In UFC History
6. Mauricio Rua
Mauricio Rua is one tough, tough dude.
Even though Shogun may have had a spell of finishing his opponents early, the Brazilian is tough as nails when it comes to taking shots.
At 37 years of age, Rua is still under UFC contract and is one of only a few of MMA's truly legendary figures who are still involved in active competition. And when it comes to competition, the UFC 139 fight between Mauricio Rua and Dan Henderson is an example of two tough bastards pushing each other to their limits.
That fight is one of the most brutal and bloody in UFC history, with Shogun withstanding some massive hits from legendary striker Hendo. After 25 minutes of toughing it out, Henderson would be awarded the fight - but Rua had shown the world that he was far more than simply a great finisher.
