10 Trades WWE & AEW Must Make In 2024

3. AJ Styles To AEW

Ooer! Another compelling change here.

AJ Styles has smashed through every glass ceiling in WWE to prove his worth. He's won World Titles, headlined WrestleMania vs. The Undertaker (cinematic matches still count) and generally been one of the best on the roster since 2016. Things have noticeably slowed since 2022-2023, to be fair.

The soft-hearted romantics out there would tell you AJ going back to a revamped TNA sounds good. It does sound fun, but there are higher-profile moments waiting for Styles if he decides to leave WWE and give AEW a bash before hanging up his boots. Would somebody please think of the matches he could work there?!

AJ vs. almost anybody on the All Elite roster would get people talking. Styles would also bring some star power with him, and that'd help out too. The 25-year veteran (feel old yet?) has nothing left to do on WWE's side anyway. It'd be cool to see AJ have one last hurrah at a top, top level.
