10 Trades WWE & AEW Need To Make

7. Aleister Black To AEW

'Take a seeming can't-miss prospect that WWE has botched and move them to AEW' is going to be a common theme throughout this, so buckle in on that front. The barrage of misused talent begins with Aleister Black, a man who seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth in recent weeks. Losing an eye will do that to you, apparently.

It wasn't a million years ago that Aleister Black was the NXT Champion, an unbeatable bad-ass who had consistently great matches in front of molten-hot crowds. There were even rumours of Paul Heyman being a big supporter, although that should have been more of a harbinger than people realised. Take Lesnar and Punk out of the equation and the success of supposed Paul Heyman Guys leaves a lot to be desired.

Black has been treated like dirt on the main roster. Word on the grapevine is that he has been hankering for a return to NXT, but he would be better off in an entirely different promotion. Whether booked as a sinister heel or ass-kicking babyface, Tommy End would be a great fit in AEW's present and future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
