10 UFC Fighter Comebacks Which Could Potentially Happen In 2020
1. Georges St-Pierre
If you can honestly say that you wouldn't be excited about the prospect of Georges St-Pierre returning to the Octagon once again, you've either never had the joy of watching 'Rush' go to work or you should probably have your MMA fan license revoked.
For those of you who fall into the former category, a simple look at GSP's career highlights exactly what calibre of fighter we're talking about here.
He's a former UFC Welterweight and Middleweight Champion, he defended the Welterweight belt nine consecutive times and he's rightly considered as the greatest Welterweight in history by many.
Yet, with GSP retiring after defeating Michael Bisping for the Middleweight belt at UFC 217 - upon his return from a four-year hiatus from the sport - many felt that the chances of seeing the Canadian legend strap up once again were incredibly low.
Then, GSP teased the idea of coming out of retirement to face Khabib Nurmagomedov and the floodgates were opened. Every fighter in the Lightweight, Welterweight and Middleweight divisions all seemed open to the idea of fighting GSP at some point, with everyone from Kamaru Usman to Conor McGregor being discussed as potential opponents if the UFC icon did return.
GSP is still in shape and could realistically step back into the Octagon again after a standard fight camp, so could 2020 signal the re-emergence of one of MMA's all time greats?
Only time will tell...
