10 UFC Fighters Who Should Cross Over To WWE

8. Matt Hughes

Matt Hughes Country boy Matt Hughes (above, left) would be perfect for a run as a top babyface in the WWE. He is a passionate Christian who loves his family and farm, and enjoyed being on his tractor much more than fighting. WWE could promote him as a Dusty Rhodes style everyman who fights. Hughes became a big star in UFC, and the was the greatest MMA fighter in the world for a short time 05-06. Hughes is a real wrestler, he could come over to WWE in much the same way Kurt Angle did from the Olympics, as a wrestling machine. He also knew a bit about showmanship, his straight style of speaking and entrance music "A country boy can survive" would certainly play very well in WWE. He also knew about how to sell a pay per view, he did great numbers for the UFC, and he helped sell some of the UFC's best shows in his famous feuds with BJ Penn and George St Pierre. Now retired and working for UFC in a business capacity, Hughes likely won't make the jump to pro wrestling aged 40... but what a crossover star he could have been.
