Could it really ever be anybody else in the #1 slot other than The Huntington Beach Bad Boy?

It’s hard to actually think of a time when Dana White and Tito Ortiz actually got on. Despite Ortiz being one of the names to bring the UFC into the mainstream public during the promotion’s initial golden period, White was never shy of stating his hatred for Tito.

Of course, Tito being Tito, he likewise wasn’t shy of antagonising White at every possible turn. Ortiz would regularly take shots at the poor pay and medical care offered by the UFC, and he’d famously wear his “Dana is my bitch” t-shirt ahead of his UFC 84 fight against Lyota Machida.

So intense was the hatred between Dana and Tito, the pair were at one point trying to make a boxing match happen. Yep, Dana White hated Ortiz that much, he wanted to step between the ropes to try and teach the MMA icon a lesson.

White had boxed in his youth, but throwing down with Tito Ortiz likely wouldn’t have ended well for the UFC head. Even to this day, the bad blood between the pair seems to be lingering just under the service – and it’s crazy to see just how much disdain Dana White has had over the years for somebody who was for so long one of his biggest stars and needle-movers.
