10 UFC Fighters Who Had Perfect Performances Inside The Octagon

7. Cain Velasquez Vs. Antonio Silva 1 - UFC 146

For the longest time, there's been a huge divide in the quality of fighters competing inside the UFC's heavyweight division. A small portion of them represent what the division should be in terms of skill level, physical strength and toughness, while the vast majority fall quite far from that mark.

Many would say that former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is the best to ever come through the weight class in the UFC's history. His never-ending barrage of takedowns and ground and pound was enough to make even the most dangerous big man become fearful and that's what we saw against Antonio Silva.

Velasquez didn't even give Silva a chance to execute anything he'd planned on, completely nullifying his attack and leaving him a bloodsoaked mess with some of the most brutal ground and pound fight fans have ever sent. It was an exceptional implementation of a brilliant strategy against an opponent who had absolutely nothing for Velasquez from his back despite being an impressive jiu-jitsu black belt.
