6. Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs The Diaz Bros (At WSOF 22 In Las Vegas)
Khabib Nurmagomedov shares one defining characteristic with both Nick and Nate Diaz - unshakeable support for their sibling.
That is how we found ourselves at the World Series of Fighting 22 in Las Vegas on August 1st 2015. Khabib was showing support for his brother, Abubakar, who was fighting at the event. The Diaz brothers would also be in attendance and, after years of Nate and Numagomedov being at odds, the two (along with Nick) would come to blows in the stands and in a hallway.
Nurmagomedov was typically understated after the brawl, saying that 'fights happen between men' and 'it's normal'. Khabib was injured at the time and had been kept away physical competition, claiming that the Diaz bros. taunted him into a fight, continuously.
Nate was said to have thrown the first punch (obviously) , before Nick apparently got involved by throwing a beer at Khabib. The fight bundled into the Miracle Mile section of Planet Hollywood.
The Diaz bros. would be banned from all WSOF events going forward, yet Nate still hasn't forgotten the night he 'slapped' Khabib. Diaz brought up the madness after Khabib's recent victory over Conor McGregor for the Lightweight title, stating on Twitter that Khabib's team were 'all p*ssies'.
Fingers crossed it gets settled in the ring one day.
