There's a reason that Ronda Rousey was eventually head-hunted by the world's biggest wrestling promotion in 2018. Aside from her fantastic look and legitimate background, she had a smarmy self-confidence that made for a fantastically poisonous heel.
The seeds for that character were planted early in the 'Rowdy' one's UFC career, where she continually boasted about being 'better than every other girl, in every other area of MMA' and did so in the lead up to her darkest hour in the company.
It's what made Rousey's fall from grace so shocking. She had an unwavering belief in herself and - even though the talent was definitely improving in the division - you couldn't see her giving up her crown anytime soon.
But - as we all know - Holly Holm would go on to eviscerate Rousey at UFC 193, which led to the former champ going underground for a year.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet once vowed to retire undefeated, but that woman was conquered in Melbourne and fell again to (current champ) Amanda Nunes upon her return at UFC 207.
Yet, it wasn't all doom and gloom for Rousey and she got the chance to embrace her self-indulgent badassery during her recent WWE run, even going on to appear in the first all-women WrestleMania main event.
