8. Adam Cole

Arguably the most oft-repeated name in wrestling today, Adam Cole's birth name has neither Adam nor Cole in it.

The second part of Austin Jenkins' ring name comes from the fact that that is what his parents were dead set on naming him right until he was born. Many people can relate to this, if my parents hadn't had a last minute change of heart you would be reading a list written by Ted Wilbourn right now.

Regardless, the first half of the NXT Champion's name is a result of far too many men being named Austin in wrestling, "It would have been like starting a band and putting the name Beatles in it...I wanted to totally stay away from that so I became Adam Cole."

'Austin Jenkins Bay Bay!' just doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?!
