10 Unbelievable Wrestling Coincidences

What do Seth Rollins and Logan Paul - and Mankind and the Godfather - have in common?

There's no such thing as fate; it's a bullsh*t idea, like ghosts, goblins, and the notion that Uncle Howdy has been haunting Bray Wyatt's psyche this whole time.

It was Sister Abigail nine years ago! This new character was introduced out of nowhere because the old characters became a disaster, they're making it up as they go along, and they want you to think this is the character they won't f*ck up!

It's like new Coke if old Coke was bad.

If there was such a thing as fate, WWE would have invited it and lost every last viewer in justice for all those times they almost literally told you to go f*ck yourself. You like this promising wrestler? Well it's been three weeks, goddamnit, and he isn't over, pal! You'll never see him again!

Life is a completely random, inscrutable and mostly awful series of events that simply happen, and any attempts to reconcile them can lead one to go utterly insane. Imagine a typical episode of Raw in 2019, except you're in it. The only other difference is that a lifetime feels shorter than those three hours.

Sometimes the universe aligns itself in such a way that coincidence becomes so strange that it masquerades as fate...

10. Logan Paul And Seth Rollins Suffered The Exact Same Injury On The Exact Same Day

As first detected by Twitter user @RMBRTHETlME, a very creepy coincidence has unfolded of late.

On November 5, 2015, Seth Rollins fell victim to what was considered another creepy pro wrestling ephemera: the WrestleMania 32 "curse". Ahead of WWE's biggest ever show, at least insofar as attendance, several major stars were struck down by injury. Vince, desperate to make it feel enormous and too inept to get enough newer stars over, had to bring back Shane McMahon to boost ticket sales...

...all for the sake of a fake number, when the real number was a real and really impressive.

Rollins worked a house show match against Kane and, in an attempt to blast Kane through a table with a sunset flip powerbomb, tore his ACL, MCL and meniscus.

Fast-forward seven years to the day, and Paul suffered two of the exact same injuries - with confirmation still elusive that he has also torn his ACL - in his remarkably great match against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. Both spots involved a table and both took place overseas.

The difference is that one wrestler was working with an inanimate object, and Logan Paul had a phone in his hand.
