10 Underrated Movies Starring Wrestlers

8. The Marine 6: Close Quarters

The Man With The Iron Fist

WWE's The Marine franchise began in 2006 with who else, but John Cena in the lead role. Since then, there have been five more movies in the series and this most recent one is the best of the bunch.

Not one, not two, but three WWE stars appear in this sixth Marine adventure and only one of them is still alive at the end of it.

It's surprisingly not The Miz, who took on the lead role in the series for its third instalment. As Jake Carter, he saved his family from terrorists, protected a government whistleblower, and fought off a biker gang led by Bo Dallas.

But one adversary he couldn't survive was The Man.

Becky Lynch stars as the film's primary villain Maddy Hayes, who has kidnapped a juror's daughter to blackmail him into letting her criminal father walk free. Carter and his old war buddy Luke Trapper (Shawn Michaels) must get her back.

HBK is the sole survivor of this action-packed and emotional picture, dispatching Hayes after she stabbed Carter. The future of the franchise is currently in doubt, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if this was how it ended.
