10 Underrated Stars That WWE Should Never Have Released
3. Brad Maddox
Drafted to developmental in 2008, Tyler 'Brad Maddox' Warner is one of WWE's biggest missed opportunities. A talented character player and gifted on the mic, Warner's in-ring presentation was solid, if unspectacular (although you should see the way he used to enter the ring, in a twisting forward roll from the floor through the ropes that hinted at hidden depths of athleticism).
But what a character. His Brad Maddox persona, as authority figure on RAW, was astonishing considering his lack of experience on television, and following the removal of the gimmick on the main roster, Warner would record more than one absolutely brilliant YouTube video acting as a showcase for his writing and performance skills.
He was in the process of putting together a tag team gimmick with Adam Rose when he was released after a dark match promo in which he - the heel - cut a promo on the crowd, calling them 'cocky pricks'. It's a shame that more wasn't made of Warner's abilities by WWE, as he had the skills to become quite an asset to the company.
