"Macho Man" Randy Savage's decision to maintain professional integrity and stay sitting at the broadcast table as good friend Crush was brutally and viciously assaulted by Yokozuna that ignited a rivalry between the pals, leading to a heel turn by the big Hawaiian, the return to the ring of one of WWE's all-time greats and one of the more intensely personal matches on the WrestleMania X card. Crush took exception to Savage not being there for him in his time of need and became bitter because of it. He attacked the Macho Man, leaving him lying in a heap and aligned himself with the dastardly Mr. Fuji. Gone were the bright neon colors and blonde mullet. In their place was purple and black gear and silver and black face paint. He was meaner, nastier and more aggressive then ever and that spelled bad news for the Macho Man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f858fgw4au0 Savage found himself on the receiving end of several beatdowns courtesy of the Kona native but always managed to get back up for more. The two engaged in some heated brawls that did a tremendous job of laying the groundwork for a huge 'Mania showdown. In a Falls Count Anywhere match, Savage and Crush brawled all over the historic Madison Square Garden, desperate to prove their superiority over the other. They each notched falls over one another but could not keep each other from returning to the squared circle. That changed when Savage pinned Crush in the backstage area and strung him up by the feet. Savage was declared the winner and for one last time, Macho Madness ran wild in New York City.
