10 Underrated WWE Survivor Series Matches You Must Watch

8. John Cena vs Shawn Michaels vs Triple H (Survivor Series 2009)

The DX reunion of 2009 went some way towards erasing the memory of their poor run in 2006. Part of what was good about DX in 2009 was that they mixed it up with younger talent (most notably Legacy) and had some very good matches in the process. This triple threat match for the WWE Championship was one of those very good matches. Michaels and Triple H entered the arena together, suggesting that they would probably stick together and gang up on Cena. Wrong. As soon as the opening bell sounded Michaels nailed Triple H with a superkick in a shocking moment. Triple H recovered and gave Michaels a receipt by spinebustering him through the announce table. The match featured lots of action and genuine intrigue but didn't have the benefit of a strong storyline leading up to it. The triple threat rules forced the wrestlers to mix it up and forego their usual routines creating an exciting and fresh match. See this one, if only for Cena's expression following Michaels early superkick.
