I’ll give Fandango some credit, as I never thought the gimmick would last this long. That’s either due to the failure of WWE creative to think up something else for him, or a testament to what Curtis Hussey brings to the role. However, he likely has more to bring to the table than portraying a ballroom dancer for the rest of his career.

Fandango would be much better suited for the world of Lucha Underground. He would be allowed to work a faster-paced style, and be able to show off more of his personality on promos, and in backstage segments.

It's his acting skills that would make him successful in Lucha. Whether you like or hate his character, the man does go all-in on it. He’s comfortable in the role, he gets it, and it’s actually hard to picture anyone else playing the part. He has a lot of range as an actor, but he’ll never move up the card with what he’s been given. Lucha would free him up to try out something new, and see if he’s capable of being a star.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
