10 Underutilised WWE Stars Who Would Excel In Lucha Underground

4. Dolph Ziggler

Would you rather see Dolph Ziggler battle Baron Corbin for the 700th time, or see what he could do in The Temple?

Ziggler is perhaps the best bump taking wrestler in the business right now. But when is the last time he was actually interesting? His babyface turn has been incredibly underwhelming to say the least, and it seems like his main job is now to be a stepping stone for other talent. Dolph could contribute a lot more than that.

He could be the equivalent of Johnny Mundo/Morrison if he went over to Lucha Underground. A guy that WWE never went all-in on, and never gave much of a character to grow into. But Mundo has excelled in his new environment, becoming one of their most featured wrestlers on the roster, and drawing great heel heat from the crowd.

Dolph would easily make more money as a WWE wrestler, but from a pure entertainment standpoint, he’d be far better off talking to Dario about a contract.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
