10 Underwhelming Wrestlers Who Held Legendary Titles.

2. Steve McMichael

In his career as an American Footballer, Steve McMichael was anything but underwhelming.

A defensive tackle for the New England Patriots, 'Mongo' won the 1985 SuperBowl as part of the Chicago Bears, before retiring in 1994 after a year with the Green Bay Packers.

Hired by WCW in 1995, McMichael was inexplicably deployed as a pro-babyface colour commentator on Nitro while he trained for his ring debut.

There is obvious competition for the worst colour commentator in wrestling history, but Mongo's weekly diatribe showed little to no awareness of wrestling maneuveres or WCW's performer - so naturally WCW put him in the ring.

Debuting and turning heel in the same match, Mongo joined the fabled Four Horseman in 1996 and went on to battle some of the NFL's top names such as Reggie White and Kevin Greene in one on one action - on WCW PPV.

However, when on 21 August 1997 he defeated Jeff Jarrett to become the United States champion, the title made famous by Harley Race and Ric Flair was sullied forever.

Racking up some of the most pitiful performances ever seen on paid television, to suggest that McMichael was the drizzling sh*ts would be doing a disservice to diarrhea.
