Another rather lily-livered showing here; this time courtesy of Goldust during the Team Canada vs. Team USA contest from the 1997 Survivor Series.

With just two men remaining on each side—Doug Furnas and the British Bulldog for Canada, Goldust and Vader for the USA—a wounded Vader was looking to tag in his partner, but was left high and dry on more than one occasion.

Goldust protested that he was nursing a broken hand, and so wisely Vader became a little more forceful with his request. At the fourth time of asking he managed to get the tag, though it was dished out to Goldust’s face rather than his hand, and it had a little more force than necessary behind it.

Who am I kidding; it was a straight-up smack. Still, technically that constituted a tag and so Goldust was the legal man. He was also suitably peeved at Vader though, and so instead of continuing with the match at hand he instead chose to turn his back on the matter, leaving Vader—and his country—hanging.
