7. A Premonition
Donald Trump has a long and storied history with WWE. Aside from being the only president to have received a Stone Cold Stunner (thus far), his venues were the homes of several early ‘Manias, and he even played a key part in a match at WrestleMania 23, where he gleefully shaved his pal Vince’s head.
Less well remembered is an interview at WrestleMania XX, in which Trump chats with Jesse Ventura. The Body had recently left his position as governor of Minnesota, and wants to talk politics with Trump, then primarily best known for his belligerent TV personality.
Ventura suggests that he may get back into politics, and requests Trump’s personal and financial support, which Trump offers unequivocally. Looking at the two of them back in 2004, Ventura, with his actual history of politics, seems the better shout to get to the White House, but the brief conversation may have put the idea in Trump’s head.
Trump is, as he often is at WWE events, remarkably wooden here, but this brief conversation with a time killing Jesse Ventura might just have altered the course of modern history. You’ve got to laugh!
