10 Unique Pitches To Save Struggling AEW Stars

8. Wardlow

AEW

Stepping away from the cruiserweights and shifting 180 degrees to a huge powerhouse, Wardlow is in a criminally bad situation in AEW given how much potential he had.

Injuries happen to everyone and are major albatrosses, but when someone is over enough, they come back having lost very little momentum, if any. Wardlow hasn't had that luck, as his comebacks continue to flounder.

This next time, AEW needs to not only avoid the temptation to give him another generic Powerbomb Symphony squash story, but also keep him far away from Adam Cole and the Undisputed crew, as that pairing never worked.

Truth be told, the real fix for Wardlow would be to go back in a time machine a few years ago and send him to the WWE Performance Center, as he might have had better luck there. But, since that's impossible...

Instead, Wardlow should be spending his time out taking acting classes, studying new moves to add to his repertoire, and brainstorming aspects of his true self that can be sympathetic. Fans need to care about him beyond just his size and strength.

Take inspiration from someone like Batista, who grew past just being the muscle, and let us see who Michael Wardlow is behind the scenes. Otherwise, he's just another Brian Cage who isn't around as much.
