3. Pudding Match
WWE.comIt does not get much better than a beautiful woman and a great chocolate pudding. Alright, that may be a bit hyperbolic but both are quite delightful. Bring them together for a special gimmick match and you have the greatest mixture since peanut butter and jelly. On December 13, 1999, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley did just that, informing Tori that she would wrestle Women's champion The Kat in a Pudding match. The match was nothing special, nor was it meant to be. It was what it was; a plot device. Stephanie set up the then-girlfriend of Kane to be humiliated and embarrassed and furthered the Big Red Monster's program with the McMahon-Helmsley Faction and X-Pac. It would be well-over seven years before the match returned to WWE programming. At Extreme Rules in June 2007, Women's champion Melina squared off with Candice Michelle in a giant pool of the chocolaty dessert. While the original was a very last-minute, thrown-together concept, this match had been planned for some time and it benefited substantially. The pool was filled to the brim with the creamy chocolate concoction and was even topped with whipped cream and a cherry. The Divas, in the midst of a heated rivalry over the title, did the best they could to deliver an entertaining few minutes. By the time Candice finally upset the champion, though, fans were more than happy to see it come to an end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MxI8CJpHhk Stephanie McMahon, Vickie Guerrero, Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox and Layla became the latest Divas to take a dip in Jello-O's finest on the June 23, 2014 episode of Monday night Raw. The sight of the Billion Dollar Princess slipping and sliding around the pool, repeatedly falling down and subjecting herself to the laughs and applause of an audience more-than overjoyed by her sticky predicament proved that matches of that type still have a place in wrestling when they stay true to the story being told.
