A recent report suggests that Cameron Grimes may soon be done with NXT and heading to the main roster. This makes sense. Grimes has done just about everything he can on NXT, having been with the brand since it’s black and gold days.
“The Technical Savage” has had a run with the North American Championship, taken a crack at Bron Brekker’s World Title, and even enjoyed an unlikely but entertaining association with “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase. Besides, Cameron was already a more than capable wrestler as Trevor Lee before he ever entered the WWE system. He’s long since added any finishing touches from the WWE playbook and proved himself able to Sports Entertain, even if we’re no longer calling it that.
It’s about time we saw what Grimes can do on Raw or, more pertinently, SmackDown. Is Grimes being groomed for a spot in The Wyatt 6? Ironically, the earlier, less well groomed version of Grimes' character would have looked right at home alongside The Wyatt Family.
Will we see Cameron Grimes go straight to (the dark side of) the moon and become yet another beardy weirdy Bray associate?
