10 Unmissable UFC Fights To Watch In October
6. Deiveson Figueiredo Vs. Tim Elliott
Although it looked like the UFC was on the cusp of getting rid of their flyweight division, it looks like the promotion has changed their mind and are continuing to push on with the weight class. This is great news for MMA fans as we get to see fighters like Deiveson Figueiredo and Tim Elliott compete against each other.
The problem with the flyweights is that none of the fighters look like they'd be able to defeat former champion, Demetrious Johnson, for the belt. However, once Henry Cejudo took it from him, it felt like the division quickly became a little more exciting and a lot more unpredictable.
Figueiredo and Elliott are the ones benefiting from this and both looked outstanding in their last bouts. The Brazilian won a great bout against Alexandre Pantoja, in which he used his brilliant striking to batter his fellow Brazilian. Elliot finished Mark De La Rosa via anaconda choke, though that was in 2017.
Since then, the 32-year old has been out of action with a knee injury. That being said, with both men having ridiculously chaotic styles of fighting, this should be a delightful encounter between two talented 125lbers.
