If you needed a piece of evidence to highlight just how old WWE's current main roster line-up is at this moment in time, then the realisation that the promotion haven't actually possessed a single men's world champion born in the 1990s will likely do the trick.

In fact, the most recent birth of a main roster WWE male singles champ was Austin Theory's, with this generation's chosen one and multiple-time United States Champion popping out in 1997.

Away from Theory, though, the likes of Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley did all actually manage to lift a women's world title after being born in 1991, 1994, and 1996, respectively. Sasha Banks and Paige (Saraya) also won a WWE Women's title after both being born in 1992.

Things look a little more promising down in NXT as Bron Breakker and Roxanne Perez currently sit as the brand's top champs. The latter even holds the record of being the first WWE star to win a women's title in the company after being born in the 2000s.

But with the likes of AEW, ROH, and NJPW all boasting at least one male World Champion who was born in the last 30 years or so, the fact WWE are still yet to achieve this feat is a little worrying.
