10 Unthinkable Origins Behind Famous Wrestling Moments
9. Where The Rock Got A Less Famous Catchphrase
Not all of Rock's bits were great.
"Why don't you fix yourself a glass of shut up juice" was poor. It was something a little f*cking brat on a three camera sitcom would say, not the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. "Boots 2 Asses" had a t-shirt in mind, first and foremost, and he was only getting paid to kick one ass in 2012. The catchphrase only underscored that.
"You sick freak" invariably followed some banter with Jonathan Coachman, and he dreamed that one up when he tried a little too hard to be a stand-up comedian. Not his best work.
He also liked to make out that he had a massive cack on occasion, and was fond, when getting all jazzed, of saying "Easy, big fella!"
Those three words were first uttered by the complete antithesis to The Rock: Seinfeld's George Costanza. Costanaza was deeply neurotic un-athletic geek; Rock a gregarious super-cool wrestling superstar.
And yet, Rock nicked his description of an injured whale in the legendary 'Marine Biologist' episode to describe his genitalia.
