https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOSYcM4AJ8k One of the more famous/infamous botches ever, Sid Vicious jumping from the second rope and broke his leg, snapping the tibia and fibula. He collapsed to the ground in pain, as fans looked on in horror, as his foot was pointing in a completely different direction than the way it was supposed to. What makes this scenario unusual is that Sid jumping from the middle rope wasn't his decision. Depending on which reports you read, he was either forced or "strongly urged" to do so by WCW management, with the thinking that he should expand his repertoire in the ring. Sid, feeling he was a "monster" that was nearly seven feet tall and didn't need to do things like jump around in the ring, refused, but ultimately gave in. To this day, a full 13-and-a-half years later, nobody can quite understand why a wrestling company would think it was a great idea to have someone the size of Sid Vicious attempting any sort of moves from anywhere other than firmly planted on the mat. There's a reason you don't hear about Vince McMahon and WWE management making the "big man" workers there do things like that. There's also a reason why WWE is still around, while WCW isn't.
