We've established that posing before hitting a move increases the likelihood that it'll cause pain to your opponent, and also that grabbing the ropes when applying a submission increases the pressure on the poor sap in the move. Finally, putting your feet on the ropes always makes it harder for someone to kick out.

You know what makes it even harder to kick out? Grabbing a handful of tights when pinning your opponent. Now, I might be slightly ignorant, but I'm not entirely sure how it becomes more difficult to kick out if someone slightly tugs your tights. Is it distracting you from kicking out?

Also, why is this even illegal? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Still, if someone pins you and grabs your tights, your life just got a little bit harder.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
