10. Russell Madness

Just what has John Morrison been up to since leaving the WWE in 2011? Morrison, whom many pictured as a potential future World Champion, has been working the indies, performing for Lucha Underground and trying to get his acting career off the ground. It's been an inauspicious start for Jo Mo, who has appeared in a bunch of short films, straight-to-DVD nonsense like Hercules Reborn and not a great deal else. The upcoming Russell Madness, however, could be his masterpiece. The film concerns a Jack Russell who becomes a big star in a wrestling company, only to be cheated out of a huge match by a dodgy promoter (sound familiar?), played by Cliff the mailman from Cheers. Russell attempts a comeback, with the help of his monkey manager (seriously), and a big showdown with Morrison's 'The Hammer' is set. If you only see one film with a pro-wrestling dog in it this year, make it this one. The film hits select theatres Saturday, February 23rd.
