10 Upcoming Wrestling Matches That Will Blow Everyone Away

5. Davey Richards Vs. Jay Lethal

Former Ring Of Honor Champion Jay Lethal is set to return to WCPW for the first time since January on June 16th. Adam Cole pinned him on his last appearance, and Lethal will be out to overturn a string of misfortune, having fallen to Bobby Fish, Christopher Daniels, and KUSHIDA on recent ROH events.

His opponent just so happens to be another former ROH Champion, and one of the most celebrated indie wrestlers of his generation. Now working for Impact Wrestling, Davey Richards is an absolute buzzsaw of a competitor, whose burning intensity is matched only by his brutal stiffness and gruelling, MMA-influenced moveset.

Their battle at Built To Destroy ‘17 will be their fourth singles match together, with Richards holding a 2-1 record against Lethal. Their last bout took place all the way back in October 2012, however, and both wrestlers are obviously in a vastly different position today.

This is a rare ROH vs. Impact match, and promises to be a high-workrate affair rife with hard-hitting strikes, sublime technique, and elite level showmanship from Lethal, who has gradually become one of his generation’s most complete performers.
