6. Jungle Boy Spits Fire

Christian Cage's ConChairTo-led betrayal, Luchasaurus' flipping loyalty, and weeks of unanswered, deeply personal insults meant Jungle Boy had to deliver the promo of his life last night. Cage had buried him under a pile of every low-hanging fruit available while he was away. Anything other than a fired-up, battle-ready statement of intent would have left the Jurassic Express man looking weak and limp, opening Christian up to eat him alive the next time they crossed paths.

Nobody likes a meek, ineffective babyface. Fortunately, Jungle Boy was the opposite in his promo.

This was fire.

Jungle Boy came out of the blocks calling Christian a "pussy", a small-dicked loser struggling for money because his wife left him, and more. He demonstrated good crowd control in asking "whaddaya think happened to the wife?!" off the cuff after referencing Cage's turtleneck and "small prick". You believed it, too. This was a big step forward for a guy who typically comes off shy and polite on television, despite his babyface fire between the ropes. That he was able to come across as legitimate in this new, unfamiliar light is a considerable feather in his cap.

Cage interrupted from backstage, ripping Luchasaurus throwing away a gold-lined future to be Jungle Boy's lapdog, promising to leave JB cosying up beside his father. The prodigy told Cage all his secrets: now, Christian is going to prey on his weaknesses.
