10 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest (Jul 1)

2. A Hot Opener

Luchasaurus Wardlow
AEW

Continuing the recent theme of banger matches featuring MJF, Wardlow, Jungle Boy, and Luchasaurus was Fyter Fest's opener: an absolute ripper of a tag bout that pulsed with energy and hot action.

Jurassic Express came to fight. Forgoing their usual ring entrance, they went straight into the fight, though Jungle Boy paid for his exuberance. The heels controlled him before Luchasaurus came in like a wrecking ball, clearing the way for his partner's comeback, which the younger man nailed, flipping out of an attempted Chokeslame over the barricade. Seconds later, Luchsaurus hit an absurd rope-step tope.

Marko Stunt got lobbed off the ramp as if he was weightless, Wardlow nailed his beautiful senton, and miscommunication cost the heels. MJF screamed "can't you do anything right?!" in Wardlow's face after almost striking him with the Dynamite Diamond Ring before said piece of jewellery was knocked into the beefcake regardless. Wardlow was isolated but defiant, bolting upright from a Chokeslam, though he fell to the standing Moonsault.

The babyface victory justifies the feud's continuation, the MJF/Wardlow split story is gathering steam, and all four wrestlers looked what. What's not to like?
