10 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 4)
1. A Perfect Pro-Wrestling Segment
This entry will be light on play-by-play as everyone reading this article should really watch this segment if they haven't already. Here's a convenient link to do so.
Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley were perfect here. Told before the face-to-face that getting physical would see their match called off, the duo went nose-to-nose as soon as they could, never straying from the edge of violence until the segment was over. The bellicose energy began with Kingston yanking the microphone from Tony Schiavone and marching right up to Mox's face, launching the first verbal salvos.
Moxley's dissection of Kingston's character, his words, and what this fight means to both drove Eddie away before his trigger snapped and he did something stupid. The acting was top level, the delivery fierce, and the aggression enough for even a pacifist to foam at the mouth at the prospect of these two bloodying each other up. Flawless, blistering storytelling.
This put fire in the belly, generated excitement for Full Gear, compelled the viewer to down a beer and put a fist through the nearest window. Pro-wrestling promotions won't book a realer feud all year.
