6. Bow To The Beast

Nyla Rose
AEW

Preceded by a quick, effective backstage beatdown of The Natural Nightmares by The Butcher and The Blade (setting next week's tag bout up) was Nyla Rose vs. Red Velvet, which was a good bit of business on the whole.

Velvet tried to take the initiative by attacking 'The Native Beast' at the bell. This ended predictably poorly, as Rose clobbered her with big hits, endured another feeble comeback, then caught Velvet out of the sky, planting her with a Beast Bomb. Pulling out of the three-count at two, Nyla then pulled her up, hit Hikaru Shida's running knee, and got the W, her message sent.

A strong Vickie Guerrero promo followed, with Nyla's manager ripping Shida for only "accepting" the Full Gear challenge because Tony Khan called it on her behalf. Cue: a pull-apart brawl to head into the PPV.

Simple but effective, this. Perhaps the women could have benefitted from a longer segment, given the insufficient build to this bout, but everything they did last night worked and Rose looked positively beastly in victory.
