10 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (18 Aug)

7. Brock's Gonna Die

Brock and Arn Anderson's backstage promo was a tremendous bit of business that will help make Malakai Black look like a cold-blooded killer, if he doesn't already.

Brock will be Black's next opponent. Arn showed concern while talking to Tony Schiavone, saying he was having a hard time not getting emotional after Black kicked his head off in his debut segment. Now, his son is stepping up to defend his honour, but Arn is worried. Brock has only had a couple of matches. Malakai is going to hurt him.

Defiantly, Brock said he wouldn't air the family's dirty laundry on television, but he isn't asking Arn. He's telling him.

This makes Brock look bold and brave as he marches towards certain death, knowing Malakai is almost certainly going to send him to the shadow realm. He is standing up for what he believes is right even though he knows he is doomed. Sympathy is guaranteed when he dies by Black's boot.
