10 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts (May 5)

7. Darby Allin Eats It

Brawling at the top of Daily's Place with the Jacksonville cityscape in the background added an extra level of peril to Darby Allin's segment with Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page, even though the heels were never going to pull a Halloween Havoc 1995 and launch the TNT Champion off the roof.

Sky and Page's salty heel promo was interrupted when Allin leapt into a fight. Outmatched and outgunned, Allin ended up getting thrown down the stairs, selling his arm after taking a hard landing on the concrete. Appropriate, given his violent, bloody EVOLVE feud with Page saw Allin's arm get obliterated in a plunder match, as referenced in All Ego's promo.

This worked as both a smart setup for Allin's upcoming match with Miro (the arm injury is perfect for the big man to capitalise on) and a good way to keep capitalising on Darby and Page's shared chemistry, building, perhaps, to a Double Or Nothing tag match.

Page and Sky vs. Allin and Sting (or Lance Archer) would fit the bill.
