10 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts (May 5)

5. SCU Punch Their Ticket

The heel Young Bucks cruelly ending SoCal Uncensored's tag team run was always the most compelling option when Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian promised to split following their next loss. Finally, it looks like we're about to get that.

One week on from confronting the Bucks in a good promo segment, Daniels and Kaz prevailed over Varsity Blonds, Jurassic Express, and The Acclaimed. The Tag Team Title match goes down next week.

A fun, fast-flowing contenders bout, this made good use of each team and gave everyone an opportunity to shine. Though it started politely, it inevitably broke down into a massive, ringside-wide brawl, with the Best Meltzer Ever scoring SCU their win.

Max Caster deserves an extra nod for his brutal bars on the microphone, too. Saying he'd consign Brian Pillman Jr. to Dark Side of the Ring on the week of his father's episode was nasty.
