10 Ups & 1 Down From NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day
1. That Cliffhanger Ending
Why do that when you can do this?
Post-match, Dunne's cronies Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan hit the ring to smack Bálor around. Then, The Undisputed Era gatecrashed the party to lend Finn a hand. NXT's writers still weren't quite done. They had Adam Cole blast Bálor with a superkick when Kyle O'Reilly seemed to be convincing the champ to join.
That was followed up by another gunshot blast to O'Reilly himself. Meanwhile, fellow Era member Roderick Strong feigned shock that his leader had just kicked a mate's teeth down his throat. That's when WWE finally decided that enough for enough - yeah, save something for Wednesday night, eh?
All of this is begging for an explanation from Cole midweek. It also sets up potential matches between him and O'Reilly, which could then lead onto another title feud between Cole and Bálor. All of that sounds delicious, to be honest.
