10 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Revolution

6. LOL

Blood & Guts
AEW/Fite TV

First of all, a hearty lol at AEW titling this special episode of Dynamite "Blood and Guts." This was the derogatory term Vince McMahon flung at the upstart promotion shortly after Double or Nothing and he deserves this clap back. As petty as it may seem to some, it popped AEW's fanbase, rallied their base, and grabbed attention online.

Secondly, they're probably doing a War Games match on this show.

A War Games match. On an episode of Dynamite.

Jesus.

The announcement vignette featured shots of a steel cage and the phrase "this means war," and we already know that AEW has trademarked "the match beyond." That they're going to throw this on free weekly television is equal parts nuts and great. Almost certainly born from Cody's love of all things old-school WCW, it continues AEW's theme of filling the gap between pay-per-views with special supercard-style Dynamites (a la Bash at the Beach) and provides another logical spot to blow feuds and storylines off. Kudos.
