10 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Revolution

7. Oh Hey, Colt

Colt Cabana
AEW

Colt Cabana got a great pop in his Chicago hometown last night. He came out to save SoCal Uncensored as The Dark Order beat them down on the Buy In, then stood tall with the babyface group at the end. This must have been a great moment for him and it got over, because of course it did: Colt is beloved.

The former Ring of Honor man was initially undone by the numbers game before The Dark Order's own theme hit with them in the ascendency. A robed figure emerged from the back - was it the fabled Exalted One? No, sadly. It was Christopher Daniels, the Order's latest big recruitment target, who evened the odds, helped his boys overcome, and ensured they won the exchange.

A supplemental Down for the abrupt music hits, particularly when they blasted SCU's track while Daniels was delivering Angels Wings, but this was an effective, well-executed segment to introduce Cabana as a full-timer. His singing was confirmed by Tony Khan after the show.
