10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (23 Feb)

1. BEEF

We spoke about how great Jake Something is before, and now here he is again. He challenged Moose for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in a battle of two big beefy boys. It's the sort of match that's phenomenal.

Jake attacked the defending champion during his entrance, stealing Moose's spotlight in the process. Something just looked like he belonged in the spotlight here. Using the ringside area to pick Moose apart, Jake was a machine in here, busting out a Michinoku Driver and a pop-up powerbomb that instantly made him look like a million bucks.

He was never lifting the title from Moose obviously, but it took two uranages, a ripcord lariat a la the Rainmaker, and a Lights Out spear to put him down. Jake Something belongs in the main event scene with performances like this. He might have to wait his turn a while longer if reports are to be believed, but he'll be there one day for sure.

Moose now has his Impact World Championship opportunity against Rich Swann to look forward to at Sacrifice, with Swann saving Something from a post-match steel chair ambush. Expect another high quality match there.
