10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (23 Feb)

2. Nothing Like The X Division

Your writer is fastly becoming the biggest Black Taurus stan in the world. He was brilliant when he was used by Impact in the past, and now as part of Decay, the AAA star is on another level.

He teamed with Chris Bey and Ace Austin to defeat Trey Miguel, Josh Alexander, and Willie Mack, meaning they'll now face other next week to decide the next contender to TJP's X Division Championship. The six-man tag itself was a true beauty. What made this match so good is how different each duo of the combatants were. Miguel and Bey had a technical showcase to kick things off despite being the smaller guys in the bout, while Taurus and Mack were flying around the ring. It just worked. Add in Ace near-enough breaking Mack's neck with The Fold and Bey's beautiful Art of Finesse springboard cutter, and it was such an easy watch.

Everyone here slotted into the bout perfectly. Nothing felt too dragged out, each piece of the in-ring action felt smooth, and there were even little callbacks to previous stories with Trey slapping Ace across the jaw. It's worth going out of your way to watch for sure.
