10 Ups & 2 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (30 Sep)

1. Run It Back

Though promoted as an interview between Gia Miller and Christopher Daniels, the segment instead transitioned into a rehash of sorts of Josh Alexander and Christian Cage's promo exchange from the beginning of last Thursday's IMPACT.

Daniels noted how he'd heard so much about this whole Forbidden Door situation, though he didn't need to knock on the metaphorical door when he built the house the door leads to. This was about all we got out of the former X Division Champion before Alexander and Cage stepped into shot. Daniels explained he didn't come back to IMPACT just to help them, said he'll explain his agenda another time, and then left.

From there, the segment suffered in the sense it was a lot of what we've already seen. Christian told Josh he needed to keep his emotions to himself if he was to ever become World Champion, while also explaining he came to Josh's aid last week because he wanted no excuse for when Bound For Glory arrives.

Any other day, this would have sufficed. Because of how fresh this was, though, it didn't quite click and that's a shame. Cage vs. Alexander will be a banger on 23 October, but the build to then must all link together naturally.
