10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Jun 30)

6. This Is What We Need

Perhaps an unpopular opinion here, but Moose's run as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion over the past two months has been his best run in company history. The character he's developed as a result of this reign has made him even more enjoyable to watch than he was before, whereas his matches have been consistently great, with both of those facts being shown to its highest possible level on this episode.

'Mr Impact Wrestling's' title defence this week against Crazzy Steve was largely nothing more other than a pure decimation of the former Decay member. A giant swing into the ring steps? Nasty. A fallaway slam, sending Steve halfway across the ring? Gnarly. A Lights Out spear to drop Steve right on his neck? Vicious. The post-match assault Moose laid into both Crazzy Steve and Tommy Dreamer added an extra layer to the onion that is Moose, showing why this TNA champion run isn't just him being oblivious.

Going forward, Moose needs to keep this style whenever he's in the ring. Keep all of the showboating to his promos and backstage interviews, and just allow him to be a hard-hitting lad whenever he's wrestling. It suits him to a tee, no matter your stance on the former NFL player.
