10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Jun 30)

7. And Another One

Following on from Tasha Steelz's victory over Nevaeh last Tuesday night, her partner Kiera Hogan was able to secure the win against Nevaeh's pal Havok this time around.

Until the conclusion of the match, this is a match that sort of just happened. It wasn't anything too special, more or less focusing on Havok chucking 'The Hottest Flame' across the ring. Of course, this is a fine spot for Havok to have on the Impact roster, seeing as she is fantastic in that sort of role. However, this is a former Knockouts Champion. She should have a more prominent role in the knockouts division. When the end of the match came, that's when things took a turn.

Tasha hopped up on the ring apron to distract Havok with her own entrance mask, an item she tossed to her partner behind the referee's back. A blast to the face with the mask, as well as a superkick and Buzzsaw Kick, gave Kiera Hogan a three count that surprised her so much she fell out of the ring as she went to head up the ramp.

Had it been a similar ending to last week's match, where Tasha rolled up Nevaeh after barely any offence, then it's possible this would have been a Down. Seeing as it was a fairly decent way to end the match, though, it remains on the Up side of this column, continuing the rivalry between the two units as they both head towards the Knockouts Championship number one contender's Gauntlet Match at Slammiversary.
