10 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Collision (June 24)

6. The TNT Title Finally Feels Like A Big Deal Again

AEW Collision Luchasaurus Christian Cage

He may have received a Down for taking the cheap heat route, but Christian Cage is already the best thing to happen to the TNT Title for what feels like an eternity. And the best thing is, Christian isn't even the TNT Champion.

For the past year, the TNT Title has so often felt like an unfortunate afterthought.

During that time, the belt has bounced from Scorpio Sky, to Wardlow, to Samoa Joe, to Darby Allin, to Samoa Joe, to Wardlow, to Powerhouse Hobbs, and to Wardlow, before now being held by Luchasaurus.

The War Dog's initial TNT Title run certainly had moments of promise, but all of those other reigns with the gold have fell flat, with the TNT Championship being viewed as the least important, least prestigious belt in AEW. Now though, there's hope again...

Christian parading around with the TNT Title as if he's a proud papa showing off his baby, already positions the TNT Championship in a fresh, much-needed light. By this title being such a big deal to Cage, that likewise makes the audience perceive the belt to be a big deal.

Of course, it also helps that Christian has the hulking presence of Luchasaurus looming in the background to back up the sh*t-talking done by Cage, and this formula should work wonders for AEW and the TNT Title should the promotion allow this schtick to stick for the foreseeable future.
